Let me tell you something I’ve come to believe deeply….Warren Buffett was absolutely right when he said the best splurge is on yourself. Growing up no one taught me this. Schools didn’t exactly cover “splurging on yourself” in the curriculum and that’s a shame, because this is life changing advice.

First things first, investing in yourself is my top priority now. I didn’t always realize that, but when I started listening to books, it clicked. One of the most eye opening books for me was “Rich Dad Poor Dad.” I don’t even read physical books much but audiobooks? I’m all in! Whether it’s learning new skills or expanding your mindset investing in yourself is a splurge that pays dividends.

Now let’s talk about stocks. I’m passionate about them, and I wish I’d known earlier how accessible they are. Investing isn’t just for Wall Street wizards. I use Acorns….every time I swipe my card, it saves and invests for me. You don’t have to be an expert to start, and you can begin with tiny amounts. The point is, you’re planting seeds for your future.

Lastly owning a home. It’s still the American dream in my book. The money you put into a home often comes back to you. I bought mine in my 20s, and I have zero regrets. It’s yours to shape, rent it out, Airbnb it, or make it your forever home. Renting IMO means restrictions. Owning means freedom and over time, that investment can grow.

So if you’re going to splurge, splurge on yourself. Whether you’re young or feel like it’s too late ITS NOT!Start today. Every book you absorb, every dollar you invest, and every step toward owning your space sets you up for a better future.
