I have been a fan of Grand Theft Auto franchise for a long time. Honestly, the whole GTA concept has always been one of my favorite things in gaming. The open world, the cars, the chaos, and the freedom to just do what you want made these games feel different from everything else.

For me, GTA was never really about doing every mission. I know the missions are a big part of the game, but I always enjoyed the sandbox experience more. I liked being able to jump into this wide open world and just go anywhere. Drive around, explore the city, cause a little trouble, find random things to do, or just see how long I could survive with the cops chasing me lool. That freedom is what made GTA special to me espically when I was younger.

Now here we are with GTA 6, and the hype is on another level.

The game is set to release on November 19, 2026 and pre orders are starting on June 25. That alone has fans ready to open their wallets. But the big topic right now is the price. GTA 6 is reportedly coming in at a whopping $80 for the standard edition.

I am 32 years old, and I remember when video games were $50 coming out new. Back then, my parents were already saying that was expensive. Now I just want to say, “Hey Mom, games are $80 now, and my birthday is coming up!”

Inflation has officially hit the GTA world too. Even getting into Vice City costs more now.

All jokes aside, I get why people are reacting to the price. Eighty dollars is not cheap. In today’s economy, that is real money. But if there is one game that might make people accept that price, it is GTA 6. This is not just another game release. This feels like a major gaming event.

The graphics are one of the biggest reasons why. I was watching a video connected to GTA 6, and for a second, I thought it was real life. That is how scary real these graphics are getting. The lighting, the cars, the people, and the city all look next level. It makes you wonder how far gaming can really go.

But the thing that has me even more interested this go around is AI.

AI has already started to change gaming. We are seeing smarter characters, better reactions, more custom content, and more ways for players to shape their own experience. Now imagine that mixed with Rockstar’s world building, strong graphics, and the freedom GTA is known for.

Buckle up, folks. This could get interesting.

GTA games have always had hype, but this time feels different. This could be the biggest and most unique experience we have ever seen in the series. If Rockstar uses new technology the right way, GTA 6 could feel more alive than any game before it.

I am not saying the $80 price is easy to swallow. I am saying GTA 6 may be one of the few games that can make people understand it. Fans have waited years for this. Some of us have grown up with this series. GTA is not just a game anymore. It is part of gaming culture.

So yes, I am excited. Yes, I think the price is high. And yes, I will probably still find a way to play it.
