Better LATE then NEVER! Turning 30 almost a year ago is a big milestone for me, and I knew I wanted to do something special to commemorate it. After a lot of indecision and soul searching, I finally decided to get my FIRST tattoo. And let me tell you…. it was quite the adventure!
The artist I chose is the incredibly talented Shine (Click Here for more information). She came highly recommended, and for good reason. The tattoo I ended up getting is full of personal meaning. I wanted something that signified being undefeated, represented my zodiac sign as a Leo, and also reflected my faith with a cross. All of these elements came together in a unique design featuring a majestic lion with a chain and the word “undefeated” inscribed, symbolizing that no matter the struggles I’ve faced, I’m still here at age 30… undefeated….30 and 0!!
Now, I have to be honest….getting this tattoo was no walk in the park. People warned me that starting with the chest might be a bit intense, and they were absolutely right!!! The pain was pretty intense, and let’s just say that numbing cream didn’t do me any favors. But despite the discomfort, it was all worth it in the end.
This is just the beginning of my tattoo journey. I’m planning a part two to share more about the process from start to finish, especially for anyone else considering getting their first tattoo. But for now, I’m just excited to share this new piece of art and the meaning behind it.
