If you’d asked me a couple weeks back how I felt about the Atlanta Falcons, I might’ve just sighed and shaken my head. We got absolutely walloped by the Panther not to long ago and I was honestly worried about where this season was heading. But here we are after a showdown with one of the best teams imo in the NFL Buffalo Bills, and let me tell you this game felt like a breath of fresh air for us Falcons fans.
We didn’t just show up! we looked like a team that could actually make a run for the playoffs! I mean after that VERY tough loss to the Panthers, I was worried we were spiraling. But against the Bills and Commanders, I think we are at a turning point…. We looked confident we made some big plays and we are starting to see a team that seems to be shaking off the early season rust.
Now sure there are still a few concerns on the table. I think Coach Raheem Morris knows his seat’s been getting a little warm, and that’s probably why we’re seeing some adjustments. But that’s a good thing. It means we’re adapting. And to me, that’s a sign that we’re not just sitting around hoping things get better we’re actually working on it. You see those adjustments in play against the Commanders and now the Bills, giving us a 2 win winning streak. How long will this go?
One area that still needs some love is special teams. I’ve been saying it for a while… we need a fresh set of eyes there. But hey, this big win showed that we’ve got the heart and the talent to turn this season into something to cheer about.
