When TNA Wrestling announced its debut on AMC, I felt that old nostalgia kick in. Back in the Spike TV days, TNA had that underdog charm I loved, it fit me perfectly. Now, with wrestling feeling a bit stagnant, I hoped TNA could inject some real competition maybe even stir something up with AEW.

But that debut show, whew, it missed the mark. I honestly tried to engage, and while I still think it had glimmers better than some AEW episodes it felt off. Too little wrestling, too much filler, and the pacing just wasn’t there. Fans agreed many criticized production, pacing, and called it a missed opportunity. I’m giving it a 5 out of 10.

Still, this is a starting point. As Eric Bischoff said, it’s a chance to make a real impact. If TNA learns from this and ramps up both the action and the quality, it could shake up the wrestling world. I’ll be watching next week, hoping they find their rhythm and maybe, just maybe, spark that competition wrestling needs.
