When I first heard about Nancy Guthrie, an 84 year old woman from Tucson also mother of TV host Savannah Guthrie, vanishing without a trace, I thought surely, this will be resolved quickly. But here we are….weeks later and no answers.
So what do we know so far? On January 31, 2026 Nancy was dropped off at her home. Overnight, her doorbell camera went dark. By morning, she was gone. Surveillance caught a masked intruder. DNA evidence? Ransom notes? The FBI got involved. Yet…nothing.
Now, I’ll admit… this has me thinking. In 2026, with all our tech how can someone just disappear? If they haven’t caught anyone yet, what else could be at play? Are we dealing with someone incredibly sophisticated? Or is something being missed?
Here’s where it gets eerie. Cases like this set a precedent. If one person pulls off such a high profile abduction others might think they can. That’s why I believe law enforcement is under immense pressure. They have to solve this….not just for Nancy, but to deter future attempts.
