I recently decided I needed a break and found a cabin called “Beary Relaxing” near Blue Ridge, Georgia. It’s a 2-bedroom, 4-bed/1-bath cabin tucked away in a quiet, private area. I’m not usually a cabin guy, but this one changed things.

From the moment I drove up I knew I’d made a good decision. The place was really private. It wasn’t just “a few trees between you and the neighbors” it felt like I was away. I asked for privacy and I got it. Maybe a little too private (I’ll get to that in a minute).

Inside the cabin everything was absolutely clean. The heat was on and it felt amazing since it was cold outside. There were four beds spread across the two bedrooms so plenty of room whether you’re there with a friend or two. The kitchen and living area had everything I needed to cook a little, relax, watch TV, and just unwind. In short it was peaceful. I felt like I could disconnect from the outside world for a bit

The location is a bit of a mixed bag. It’s “kind of close” to downtown Blue Ridge ..yes, you can get there without a crazy long drive but the cabin is tucked at the end of a gravel road, inside a cabin community so it takes a little to get to the front of the cabin community. The road and the gravel parts were rough in some spots and got narrower the farther down I went. In fact, at one point it felt like a one lane road even though it’s supposed to be two way. I didn’t mind because I was in my truck. I do NOT recommend going in a car. Please use a SUV or Truck

Tip: Load up on food/supplies before heading to the cabin, go out during daylight, and avoid driving when the sun is down…..oh did I mention using a truck or SUV?

Overall I’m giving this cabin five stars. The privacy, the cleanliness, the comfort all stood out. I needed to get away this year, try something different, and this one overnight stay delivered. I’d go back someday for sure.

If you’re looking for a quiet, comfortable mountain cabin near Blue Ridge and you’re okay with a little rustic road to get there, this is a solid pick.

See you next time Blue Ridge.
