I’m going to be real about this.

I’m not big on picking sides when it comes to politics. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again….I call it how I see it. I held Joe Biden accountable, and now it’s time to do the same with President Trump.

Because right now? People are feeling it.

Gas prices didn’t slowly creep up… they jumped. It feels like overnight, we went from manageable to “hold on, what is going on?” And when gas goes up, everything else follows. Groceries are still high. Bills are still high. Nothing else went down, so now this just adds more pressure.

Let’s be honest for a second.

Most everyday people aren’t sitting around thinking about the Middle East or what’s going on with Iran. That might sound harsh, but it’s the truth. People care about what’s hitting their wallet right now. They care about filling up their tank without feeling stressed.

And right now that stress is back.

Now before anyone twists this, I’m not saying the military action was right or wrong. I don’t have all the information to make that call. But what I am saying is this we’ve seen this pattern before.

Every time we get involved over there… gas prices go up.

So my question is simple….why are we acting surprised?

Why does it feel like no one planned for this in our current government? If we knew this was a possible outcome, then where was the preparation? Where was the plan to protect people here at home?

Because that’s what matters.

If we’ve got money to send overseas… if we’ve got money for this and that… then where is the relief for the people paying these prices every single day?

That’s the part that doesn’t sit right with me.

You can’t expect people to just deal with it. Not right now. Not with everything already high.

And I’m going to say this too, I’ve given Governor Brian Kemp credit before. I’ve spoken on how he stepped up for Georgians when gas prices were hurting us.

Hey Kemp… we need help again.

What are we waiting on?

Why does it feel like there’s hesitation this time around? If something can be done at the state level, then it needs to be done. Because people are starting to get frustrated, and rightfully so.

And let’s talk about the oil reserves.

I’ve been hearing that we’re tapping into reserve units to help with supply. That’s good but why does it feel late? Maybe I’m being impatient, but this feels like something that should’ve already been in motion the moment things started escalating.

Not after prices spike….and contenuie to rise day by day

Before.

At the end of the day, this isn’t about being Republican or Democrat. It’s about real life. It’s about people trying to get to work, take care of their families, and not feel like they’re getting hit from every direction.

And right now, it feels like we are.

Something needs to be done and it needs to happen sooner rather than later.
