Martin Luther King Jr. once said he dreamed of a world where people would be judged not by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character. That quote still resonates deeply, especially as we honor him on MLK Day. This day is more than a day off from work lol it’s a reflection on where we’ve been and where we still need to go.

When Dr. King spoke those words in 1963, the struggle for civil rights was at its peak. Today, we can look around and acknowledge that much progress has been made. Laws have changed, opportunities have grown, and many barriers have been broken. But that doesn’t mean we’re done. Judging by the content of character is a work in progress, and we still see inequalities whether in education, wealth, or opportunity.

MLK Day is a reminder to reflect, to challenge ourselves, and to keep striving. We’ve come far because of Dr. King’s sacrifices, and we honor him by continuing his dream.
