I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again. The Atlanta Falcons are a better football team than some of these games have made us look.

And after Sunday’s 29-20 victory over the previously undefeated San Francisco 49ers, maybe people will finally start paying attention.

Let’s put this into perspective….. The Falcons entered this game with a 2-4 record, while San Francisco was sitting comfortably at 6-0. Nobody had beaten the 49ers all season.

Well, somebody had to do it!

And I’m glad it was us.

I Wasn’t Expecting This Win

I’m going to be honest. When I turned on my television I wasn’t exactly feeling confident.

My mindset was pretty much…. “Well, let’s see how bad this is going to get.”

That’s how frustrating this season has been.

We’ve had moments where we look like a playoff team, followed by games where I wonder what in the world we’re doing out there.

I’m still a little sour about that terrible loss a few weeks ago. As a Falcons fan, getting embarrassed like that is hard to forget. At times, this season has felt like we were heading somewhere I haven’t seen since the Bobby Petrino days.

But Sunday was different.

The Falcons Finally Took Care of Business

What impressed me most wasn’t just that we won. It was how we fought.

Michael Penix Jr. finished with 213 passing yards, three touchdowns, and no interceptions. He connected with Nick Muse, Kyle Pitts, and Drake London for touchdowns.

London’s 21 yard touchdown catch in the fourth quarter was a big moment.

But we also have to give our defense some serious credit.

Atlanta forced four turnovers, including two interceptions. Rookie linebacker Kendal Daniels stepped up when it mattered most, picking off Brock Purdy late in the fourth quarter and recovering a fumble that helped seal the victory.

That’s the kind of effort I’ve been wanting to see.

We weren’t perfect. San Francisco still moved the football, and we had moments where things could have gone the other way.

But this time, we made the plays that mattered.

Which Falcons Team Are We Going to Get?

That’s still my biggest question.

I know injuries have affected this team, and that’s part of football. But every NFL team deals with injuries.

There have been games where we looked completely unprepared, and others where we showed just how talented this roster can be.

I can’t put my finger on whether it’s motivation, consistency, preparation, or something else.

Even last week, despite losing, I saw a team willing to fight. We didn’t get the result we wanted, but the effort gave me something to appreciate.

And now we’ve beaten one of the best teams in football.

So clearly, the talent is there.

What we need is consistency.

Don’t Count Atlanta Out Just Yet

This victory brought our record to 3-4. We’re still below .500 but there’s plenty of football left to play.

I’m not ready to start making playoff predictions or acting like all our problems disappeared overnight.

I’ve gotten excited about this team before, only to be disappointed the following week.

But I do believe this win could be the spark we’ve been looking for.

We needed this victory, especially at home. We needed to remind ourselves, our fans, and the rest of the NFL that we’re capable of competing with anybody.

The Falcons still have work to do, but Sunday gave me something I haven’t felt much of this season.

A little confidence.

It took me a couple of days to figure out how I wanted to respond to the Atlanta Falcons 30-23 overtime loss against the Baltimore Ravens. I had mixed emotions. I was excited, disappointed, frustrated, and somehow still proud of this football team. As a Falcons fan, that’s a strange combination of feelings.

I watched the game at a nearby $3 Cafe Bar and Grill, and let me tell you, the excitement was real. Fans were ready, the energy was there, and I genuinely believed we could pull off this win. Unfortunately, we walked away disappointed. But unlike some of our previous losses, this one felt different this season.

The Atlanta Falcons Actually Looked Competitive

First I want to give this team credit. The Falcons fought hard, stayed competitive, and never gave up. That’s something I couldn’t confidently say after that embarrassing loss to the Carolina Panthers earlier this season.

Against Baltimore, we looked like a football team capable of competing. Our defense made some impressive plays, including Jessie Bates III returning a fumble for a touchdown. Michael Penix Jr. threw for 240 yards and a touchdown.

But here’s the problem…. We failed when it mattered most.

Atlanta held a late lead before allowing Baltimore to score a touchdown and a two point conversion to tie the game. Then, in overtime, the Ravens marched down the field and scored again. Our final offensive opportunity ended with an interception.

Head coach Kevin Stefanski summed it up perfectly after the game…”We didn’t do enough to win the game.”

And that’s exactly how I felt. We did plenty of good things, but we didn’t finish the job..we didn’t do a enough

My Biggest Concern: Michael Penix Jr.’s Health

Now, here is where I might upset some of my fellow Falcon fan family.

I like Michael Penix Jr. When he’s healthy, I believe he’s a talented quarterback with tremendous potential. But I’m seriously concerned about his injury history.

Penix dealt with significant knee injuries during college, including two ACL tears. He also suffered another ACL injury last season. Now, after returning to action he suffered a rib injury against Baltimore that kept him out for the most part.

Thankfully, early reports suggest this latest injury isn’t as serious.

Still though…. I have to question the decision makers who drafted him….. Why invest so heavily in a quarterback with such a concerning medical history without making sure there’s a reliable backup plan?

I’m not calling Penix a bad player. I’m questioning whether the Falcons have protected themselves enough if he gets hurt again.

Because here’s my concern, Other teams know his injury history, and opposing defenses aren’t going to stop applying pressure.

Can the Falcons Survive Without Penix?

When Penix left the game, Tua Tagovailoa stepped in….takes deep breath…Unfortunately, his overtime interception ended our hopes of winning.

I’m not going to judge Tua’s entire ability based on one difficult situation. Being thrown into a game at the last minute isn’t easy. But I haven’t seen enough to feel confident about our quarterback depth.

And let’s be clear, Bijan Robinson cannot carry this offense by himself.

We need a passing game. We need reliable quarterback play. Most importantly, we need a plan that doesn’t collapse whenever our starting quarterback gets injured.

There’s Still Hope for Atlanta

Despite this loss, I’m not giving up on the Falcons.

I saw progress against Baltimore. I saw determination, energy, and a team that genuinely wanted to win. That’s encouraging.

Could we still make the NFL playoffs? Absolutely. But we must improve our overall game execution, protect our quarterback, and develop a stronger backup plan.

I’m not demanding a perfect season. I just don’t want another embarrassing one.

The Falcons showed me they can compete this season. Now they need to prove they can finish.

I needed this one.

After what happened against the Carolina Panthers last week, I honestly did not even want to write about the Atlanta Falcons. Losing is one thing. Getting beat 34-3 at home is something completely different. Atlanta turned the ball over five times, and the offense never found a rhythm.

I was frustrated. I was disappointed. And as a true Falcons fan, I just wanted to forget that game happened.

But Thursday night against the Green Bay Packers? This was a different football team.

Atlanta walked into Lambeau Field and won 35-14, improving to 1-2 on the season. After starting 0-2, this felt like a game the Falcons simply had to have.

And they showed up.

The Rough Start Had Me Nervous

I will admit, the beginning had me worried.

Michael Penix . threw an interception on Atlanta’s first drive, Green Bay scored first, and I immediately started thinking, “Here we go again.”

But something felt different.

Instead of falling apart, Atlanta responded.

Bijan Robinson broke loose for a huge 55 yard run and later scored to tie the game. By halftime, Atlanta had taken a 17-7 lead.

Then the Falcons kept their foot on the gas.

Bijan finished with an incredible 194 rushing yards and two touchdowns. Drake London added 194 receiving yards, and Penix settled down after his early mistake to throw for 256 yards and a touchdown.

Atlanta finished with 498 total yards.

That is the Atlanta Falcons offense I have been waiting to see.

Give This Defense Some Respect

I have said it before… I believe this Falcons defense is better than some of the scores have made it look.

Last week, I felt like the defense eventually got worn down because the offense kept putting them in bad situations.

Against Green Bay, they finally had some help.

The Packers finished with just 17 rushing yards, and Atlanta forced Jordan Love and the Packers to depend almost completely on the passing game.

When the offense, defense, and special teams are all doing their jobs, suddenly this team looks completely different.

My Biggest Concern Is Still Penix

I was happy to see Michael Penix Jr. back, especially knowing the road he has taken to return from another ACL injury.

But I am still nervous.

Atlanta has to protect this man.

Penix showed Thursday night why the Falcons believe in him. Once he settled down, the offense opened up in a way we had not seen during the first two games.

That also means Atlanta needs to make sure there is a strong backup plan behind him. Injuries happen and with Penix’s history, quarterback depth cannot be ignored.

Maybe This Is the Start

I am not ready to get carried away.

I’m a Falcons fan. I’ve learned my lesson haha

But going from a 34-3 embarrassment against Carolina to beating Green Bay 35-14 at Lambeau Field is one heck of a response.

Just imagine going into Week 4 at 0-3 after the way last week ended.

Instead, Atlanta is 1-2, Penix is back, Bijan looks dangerous, London exploded, and the defense continues to show that it can compete.

Tonight, I’m celebrating.

Now let’s see if they can build on it.

Football season coming back is always a big deal for me. I put football right up there with wrestling when it comes to things I enjoy watching. And no matter how frustrating this team can be, I’m always going to be an Atlanta Falcons fan.

That being SAIDDD……… our 20-13 Week 1 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers was not what I expected……….

I understand this was the first game of the season. Week 1 comes with mistakes, nerves, timing issues, and players trying to get comfortable. I played a little football in middle school and high school, and while I would never compare that to the NFL, I understand the feeling of that first game.

Still, something just felt off.

It Felt Like We Took a Step Back

Watching the Falcons, I couldn’t help but feel like we took a step backward from last season.

The biggest issue was obviously quarterback. Cooper Rush had to start because Tua Tagovailoa and Michael Penix Jr. were unavailable. Rush finished with 143 passing yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions. One of those interceptions was returned for a touchdown by T.J Watt.

Because of that situation, I’m not ready to judge what this offense can truly become. Hopefully, once Atlanta gets healthier at quarterback, we will see a completely different offense. Also on a side note…whats so funny Tagovailoa and Penix???

anyway…. we also have to protect the quarterback better. We can’t expect any quarterback to get comfortable if pressure keeps coming.

We Can’t Depend on Bijan for Everything

Bijan Robinson was easily one of the bright spots. He finished with 173 total yards and scored Atlanta’s only touchdown.

I love watching Bijan run. Give that man the football.

But Atlanta can’t build the entire offense around hoping Bijan saves us.

We need a passing attack. We need receivers involved. We need better protection. We need drives that don’t feel like we’re fighting for every single yard.

The Falcons have to be dangerous in more than one way.

Even Special Teams Looked Off

Nick Folk is an experienced kicker, which made his performance surprising. He went 2 for 4 on field goals, missing from 54 and 45 yards. This is a kicker who had missed only three field goals over the previous three seasons.

I’m definitely not giving up on him after one game.

It was just another example of how strange this game felt.

Atlanta also had nine penalties for 96 yards. You simply can’t give away that many yards and expect to beat good football teams.

I’m Frustrated, But I’m Not Sounding the Alarm

The Steelers deserve credit. They are a franchise that knows how to win football games, and their defense made Atlanta pay for mistakes.

So I’m not hitting the panic button after Week 1.

But I’m also not going to pretend I liked what I saw.

The Falcons looked sloppy. The offense lacked rhythm. There were too many mistakes, and at times I didn’t feel the urgency I wanted to see.

Maybe this is exactly what Week 1 is for: get the mistakes out, figure out what works, get healthy, and move forward.

I still have high hopes for this season.

But Atlanta has some work to do.

One loss doesn’t decide a season.

The recent debate surrounding Roman Reigns and whether he truly feels like a megastar caught my attention. Eric Bischoff and Conrad Thompson have discussed Roman recently on their podcast “83 Weeks”, and the conversation has spread throughout the wrestling community.

So, I figured I’d throw my two or maybe four cents into it.

I’m not somebody who has worked in professional wrestling. I’m simply a fan.

I’ve watched wrestling since I was about eight years old. Wrestling has always been my comfort space. Some people have Disney World as their happy place. Wrestling has always been mine.

And maybe that is why I notice how different it feels today.

Roman Reigns Is a Star

I understand both sides of the Roman Reigns argument.

Some people point out that Roman is constantly positioned at the top of WWE. He gets the main events, championships, major storylines and promotional attention.

And yes, WWE putting somebody in that position obviously matters.

But you still have to feel like you belong there.

Roman does.

When Roman Reigns walks into an arena, he looks like a professional athlete. He carries himself differently. His entrance feels important. He understands facial expressions, timing and allowing moments to breathe.

That matters to me.

Roman is currently still positioned at the center of WWE’s main event picture, including as World Heavyweight Champion.

My problem isn’t Roman.

I think wrestling itself has changed.

Wrestling Is Missing Larger Than Life Stars

This might make some people mad, but today’s wrestling sometimes feels like everybody is trying to have the greatest match instead of the greatest story.

There are incredible athletes today. They can jump, flip, dive and move faster than wrestlers from previous generations.

But sometimes there is no breather.

Everything is move, move, move, move.

It’s exciting for 15 minutes.

But does it make me desperate to watch next Monday “RAW”?

That’s where I struggle.

If I just wanted to watch two incredible athletes fight, I could watch UFC. Professional wrestling has always been different because it’s also a television show.

Give me characters. Give me drama. Give me somebody who looks larger than life.

That’s why Oba Femi versus Brock Lesnar grabbed my attention.

Two massive guys standing across from each other instantly felt important. WWE built Femi into a major player by having him defeat Lesnar at WrestleMania 42, and WWE has continued positioning him around its biggest stars.

You didn’t need 25 flips.

You looked at them and thought, I want to see these two fight.

WWE Has Stars But Where Are the Megastars?

That’s the difference.

WWE has plenty of stars.

I’m just not sure it has many megastars like the Stone Colds, Hulk Hogans, The Rocks

Roman Reigns comes closest for me…I think

Even Cody Rhodes, as popular and successful as he is, doesn’t personally give me that same larger than life feeling. Not saying he isn’t a star though

That doesn’t mean Cody isn’t talented. He absolutely is.

It’s simply how I experience wrestling as a fan.

And with Brock Lesnar clearly closer to the end of his career than the beginning, WWE needs that next generation of people who immediately make you stop what you’re doing and watch.

Maybe Oba Femi becomes one.

Maybe somebody else does.

But when it comes to Roman Reigns, I don’t think the question should be, “Is Roman a star?”

He is.

The better question might be:

Has modern wrestling changed so much that even its biggest stars have a harder time feeling larger than life?

That is the debate I’m interested in.

I’ll be honest. Going into SummerSlam, I wasn’t very excited. That’s not because I don’t love wrestling anymore. I always will. I still follow what’s happening, but I don’t watch every week like I did growing up. A lot of today’s product just doesn’t grab me the same way. Too many matches feel overproduced, too perfect, and sometimes they don’t feel believable.

Then came Brock Lesnar vs. Oba Femi inside Hell in a Cell.

From the moment this match was announced, it felt different. It felt important. It felt like a fight instead of just another match on the card. As I watched, I found myself getting lost in it the same way I did as a kid. That’s a feeling I honestly haven’t had in a long time.

I want to be clear….I have a lot of respect for guys like CM Punk and Cody Rhodes. They’re talented, and CM Punk especially has that natural believability that makes you pay attention whenever he speaks. I don’t think the problem is the wrestlers themselves. Sometimes I wonder if it’s the creative direction or the way stories are presented. Wrestling is at its best when it makes you forget it’s a TV show, even for a few minutes.

That’s exactly what Brock Lesnar has always done for me.

When Brock walks out, it feels like business is about to pick up. He has an aura that very few wrestlers have ever had. You believe he can destroy anyone standing across the ring. That’s something wrestling is slowly losing as many of those larger than life stars move on from the business.

That’s why Oba Femi caught my attention.

I really believe he has the tools to become one of those special attractions. He looks the part. He carries himself like a star, and he has the presence that makes you stop and watch. That’s something you can’t teach.

Now if I had one critique, it would be this…. I think Oba needs to slow things down just a little. After the big moves, I’d like to see him stay down longer and let the damage sink in. Sometimes he recovers so quickly that it pulls me out of the moment. It reminds me a little of the old Hulk Hogan style where a wrestler suddenly powers back up, but the timing doesn’t quite feel right yet. That’s not a knock on him. I think it’s something that will come with experience.

That’s also why I’m not completely sure he’s ready for Brock Lesnar to fully pass the torch just yet. I think he’ll get there, but I don’t know if he’s there today. The potential is obvious though.

Out of everything I watched on SummerSlam Night 1, this was the match that made me remember why I became a wrestling fan in the first place. While some of the other matches were good, they didn’t leave me thinking about them afterward. Brock Lesnar and Oba Femi did.

As for SummerSlam Night 2, I probably won’t watch it. Maybe I’ll miss a huge moment, and that’s okay. Night 1 already gave me what I was looking for. It reminded me that wrestling can still feel real when the right people are in the ring.

If WWE wants to bring back more longtime fans like me, this is the direction I’d love to see. Give us larger than life personalities. Give us matches that feel important. Most of all, give us moments that make us believe again, even if it’s only for one night.

LeBron James leaving the Lakers…..

Some fans are upset. Some fans are ready to move on. Some fans are saying, “Good for him.” Honestly, I can understand all of it.

LeBron has been with the Lakers for a long time. He did not just show up for a quick run and disappear. He gave Los Angeles several years of his career. He helped bring the Lakers a championship in 2020. He played through injuries, roster changes, coaching changes, and all the heavy pressure that comes with being LeBron James.

That matters.

So when I hear that he may be ready to play somewhere else, I do not look at it like he quit on the Lakers. He did not leave in the middle of the season. He did not walk away when things got uncomfortable. He stayed, competed, and gave the team real time.

At the same time, I understand why some Lakers fans may feel hurt or tired.

Being a Lakers fan comes with high expectations. This is a franchise built on championships. Fans do not just want good moments. They want banners. So when LeBron’s time in Los Angeles does not end with more rings, some people will feel like the job was not fully finished.

I get that too.

There is also the business side of basketball. The Lakers have to think about their future. LeBron is still great, but he is not 25 anymore. At some point, the team has to ask what comes next. Do they keep building around LeBron, or do they turn the page and build around younger players?

That is not disrespect. That is just the NBA.

But LeBron also has to think about his own ending.

This could be his last big move before he truly retires. That is what makes this story feel different. We may not be watching just another free agency move. We may be watching the final major chapter of one of the greatest careers in sports history.

And if that is the case, I cannot blame him for wanting to choose the right situation.

Some people may call it ring chasing. I look at it a little differently. At this point, what else does LeBron need to prove? He has the records. He has the titles. He has the money. He has the name. But competitors do not just wake up one day and stop wanting to win.

That fire is probably still there.

I am not saying Lakers fans have to be happy about it. They have every right to feel disappointed. LeBron was a major part of their team and their story. When a player like that leaves, it does not feel small.

But I also think there should be some respect in the way people talk about it.

LeBron gave the Lakers a championship. He gave them star power. He kept them relevant. He stayed longer than some people may want to admit. Even if the ending feels awkward, the whole run should not be erased.

Now the big question is simple.

Where does he go next?

Does he join a team ready to win right now? Does he team up with another superstar? Does he shock the league with a move nobody sees coming? Or does he make one final decision that brings his career full circle? *Cough Cough* Golden State Warriors *COUGH*

I do not know what LeBron will do next. But I do know in my humble opinion he is NOT done

Brock Lesnar is still here, and honestly I have mixed feelings about it.

On one hand, I’m happy Brock has not retired yet. I grew up watching Brock Lesnar be one of the most dangerous stars in wrestling. When Brock shows up it still feels big. He does not have to talk much. He does not have to be on TV every week. His name alone brings attention.

But on the other hand, the way this story is playing out with Oba Femi feels a little off to me.

At WrestleMania 42, Oba beating Brock felt like a major moment. It felt like WWE was telling us, “This is the next guy.” Brock losing, leaving his boots and gloves in the ring, and acting like he was done made the moment feel even bigger. It looked like a true passing of the torch. Oba did not just beat a regular wrestler. He beat …The Beast.

That is why Brock coming back and beating Oba clean at Clash in Italy has me stuck in the middle.

Yes, I understand the story. Brock is Brock. He lost, he felt embarrassed, and he came back for revenge. That part makes sense. Also it took a lot for him to beat Oba. Brock had to hit multiple F-5s, and Oba still looked like a monster for surviving as long as he did. So I am not saying Oba looked weak.

But I do feel like Oba looks a little “off” now.

When a young star gets a win that big, you want that momentum to keep growing. You want fans to believe he is the new force in WWE. But when Brock comes back a short time later and gets his win back, it can make the first win feel less special. It almost turns the story into, “Oba got lucky the first time,” even if that is not what WWE meant to do.

That is the danger here IMO

At the same time, I cannot lie. This feud has me interested. It has people talking. Some fans think WWE is building toward a third match. Some fans think Oba should have stayed undefeated against Brock. Others are just happy to see Brock still wrestling. That is what makes this feud work. People care enough to argue about it.

And that is where WWE still has a chance to make this great.

If this is leading to one more match, Oba needs to win the final battle….right? Brock getting one win back is fine if the end goal is to make Oba stronger. But if Brock wins the feud overall, then I think WWE may have missed a chance to truly build a new star.

Brock’s retirement is coming sooner than we think. I do believe that. He may not be done today, but we are closer to the end than the beginning. That is why this story matters. If Brock is going out, using his final run to help build Oba Femi would be the right move.

Ted Turner helped change professional wrestling forever by giving WCW a platform to compete with WWE during the Monday Night Wars. Here’s why wrestling fans still respect his legacy today.

Ted Turner will forever be remembered not just as a television giant, but as one of the most important people in the history of professional wrestling. While many people know him as the founder of CNN and a pioneer in television, wrestling fans remember him as the man who helped create real competition in the industry. Without Ted Turner, wrestling may never have reached the level of popularity it did during the 1990s.

When Turner bought Jim Crockett Promotions and turned it into World Championship Wrestling (WCW), he gave wrestling something it desperately needed at the time… a true alternative. Turner believed wrestling belonged on national television and deserved prime time attention. That belief helped WCW grow into a company that could stand toe to toe with the World Wrestling Federation (WWF).

One of the biggest reasons wrestling exploded in popularity was because Turner allowed WCW to take chances. He backed Eric Bischoff and gave him the freedom to launch Monday Nitro, which directly competed with Monday Night Raw. That decision started the legendary Monday Night Wars, a time period many fans still consider the greatest era in wrestling history. Every week felt unpredictable, and both companies pushed each other creatively to stay ahead.

Another major part of Ted Turner’s legacy in wrestling was how he helped make wrestling feel bigger than life. Turner understood television better than almost anyone, and that vision helped WCW reach millions of homes around the world. He treated wrestling like a major sports property, giving it prime time exposure on TNT and TBS when many networks would not. That exposure helped wrestling become mainstream entertainment during the 1990s. Families, kids, and adults all tuned in every week to see what would happen next. Turner’s willingness to invest money, production, and national attention into WCW gave wrestlers a platform to become household names and gave fans unforgettable moments that are still talked about today.

Because of Turner’s support, wrestling fans witnessed unforgettable moments like the rise of the nWo, Goldberg’s undefeated streak, Sting’s battle against Hollywood Hogan, and countless classic matches that still live in wrestling history. Even WWE benefited from the competition because WCW forced them to improve their storytelling and presentation. Competition made wrestling stronger as a whole.

Even though WCW eventually closed its doors, Ted Turner’s impact on wrestling can still be felt today. Modern wrestling companies continue to use ideas that became popular during the WCW era. The way wrestling shows are produced, marketed, and presented to fans all carry pieces of Turner’s influence.

Ted Turner may not always be the first name wrestling fans bring up, but he deserves respect for believing in the business when it mattered most. He gave fans competition, unforgettable memories, and one of the greatest periods wrestling has ever seen. For that, his legacy in professional wrestling will never be forgotten.

RIP Ted

When I saw the news about The New Day leaving WWE, I had to read it twice. It didn’t feel real at first. This is a group that, for years, felt untouchable like they were part of the foundation of WWE. And now, just like that, they’re gone.

I’ll be honest… this one hit a little different.

From Joke Gimmick to Legendary Status

Back in 2014 when Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods, and Big E first came together, it didn’t look like anything special. In fact, a lot of fans weren’t feeling it at all.

But then something clicked.

They leaned into their personalities. They embraced the “power of positivity.” And before long, they became one of the most entertaining acts WWE had seen in years. Pancakes, trombones, unicorn horns it all worked.

And it wasn’t just comedy. They backed it up in the ring.

  • Multiple tag team title reigns
  • Record breaking runs
  • Big time moments, including KofiMania

They weren’t just popular they were must see TV.

Why This Feels So Shocking

That’s why this news feels so surprising.

According to recent reports, Kingston and Woods exit wasn’t a simple release. It sounds like a contract related decision under WWE’s parent company, TKO Group Holdings, where new terms were presented and they chose to move on.

Still… it’s hard to process.

This is a group that felt like they would retire in WWE. They were consistent. Reliable. Over with the crowd no matter what role they were in. You could plug The New Day into any storyline, and it worked.

And now, they’re just… gone.

The Big E Factor

You also can’t talk about this without mentioning Big E.

His neck injury changed everything. While he hasn’t officially been part of this exit, his absence already made The New Day feel incomplete. Now with Kingston and Woods gone too it really feels like the end of an era.

What Happens Next?

Now the big question is….what’s next?

There’s already speculation about them landing in All Elite Wrestling or exploring other opportunities. And honestly, wherever they go, they’re going to bring value instantly.

They have the name.
They have the chemistry.
And they still have a fanbase that’s going to follow them anywhere.

My Final Thoughts

I’m not going to lie this one surprised me.

The New Day wasn’t just another tag team. They were a staple. One of the most popular groups WWE has had in the modern era. The kind of act you assume will always be around in some way.

But wrestling changes fast.

One minute you’re at the top, one of the most loved groups in the company… and the next, you’re moving on.

That’s the business.

Still, I respect the decision if it came down to standing on their value and not settling. And as a fan, I’m interested to see what they do next.
